Mr. Haller, I liked your music, I wanted to offer you a spot, if the fee bothers you, I’ll wave it, I have no idea why you would seek to defame me on tumblr and generate google alerts when I did nothing but try to give your talent a forum.
I underwrite a HUGE amount of overhead producing these CDs in this awful age of running an independant record label, and the promos you are provided upon release more than compensate for this up front inclusion fee (which covers pressing overhead relative to the promos, etc).
I did nothing to defame you, but you have now done so to me with no provocation and without any explanation/alert first where I might have been able to answer any questions you have/concerns, etc, and to that end, I would ask since no harm was done, that you remove this awful tumblr post from your account. I have spent $800 in legal bills already fighting these false bullshit claims from ONE MUSICIAN (who got his promo books, and still chose to extort me for $100 in refunds to his $50 inclusion fee at threat of posting more horrible lies about my company on the internet).
I live in a 3-room apt at 36, and my label and helping new bands get exposure in this awful age of retail extinction via compilations is my life’s work. The bottom line is anyone can write anything - as I indicated- about anyone online and people read it as fact, even when 150 new bands have worked with us even in the last 8 months on 6 new tribute albums coming out this summer/fall.
I was hoping to include you among those, and again, will waive your fee if it makes you feel better about the legitimacy of your music’s merit in and of itself, but can’t understand why you would without even emailing me for explanation post such a horrible accusatory post. Please remove this post asap, I have done nothing to defame you and you’re currently defaming me with such a horrible accusation when I did nothing to you. I have taken no money from you, delivered no product you were unhappy with, and am asking as a gentleman that you consider the fact that when you attack me, you attack the tens of dozens of other unsigned bands who rely on my label for exposure for their own music.
